a little backstory…

As a kid, I always loved creating art and I never had any concern for the medium in question. As I grew older, that artistic eye started to fixate on the beauty world. At the ripe age of 11, with hair removal supplies from Sally’s Beauty Supply and a strong sense of confidence, I waxed my friend’s eyebrows. To the surprise of…just about everyone, they looked awesome.

Despite the fact that I clearly knew at a young age that I was meant to be in the beauty world, it wasn’t until the Fall of 2014 that I finally went all in as I transitioned out of a soul-sucking life in corporate America. In these early years of business, I was on the path to becoming a makeup artist and hair stylist for the Portland TV and movie scene. I earned my Cosmetology license hoping to gain as many skills as possible for my life on set, but after working with a client who encouraged me to look into cosmetic tattooing, my vision completely changed.

It has been 10 years in business and I have earned certifications in a variety of  cosmetic and paramedical tattooing techniques. I am trained in: nano eyebrows, powder eyebrows, ombre eyebrows, microblading, lip blush, eyeliner, color correction, saline removal, faux freckles, areola hyperrealism, and small body art. I would love to see you at my shop in SE Portland!

passion for paramedical tattooting

I love creating Nano eyebrows and I will always provide this service, but there is a special place in my heart for paramedical tattooing; specifically areola hyperrealism. When I first started tattooing in 2017 I was incredibly focused on cosmetic tattoos but even during that time, I always knew that I had a strong desire to lean into the paramedical tattoo world.

A few years later, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through the entire mastectomy and reconstruction process. Being a witness to her journey was incredible and gave me a whole new perspective and understanding of what it means when someone says they are a cancer Survivor.

I am so grateful that I was able to tattoo my mom in the early days of my areola restoration work. Any time someone comes to me for this service, I do my best to empathize with the multitude of emotions that can arise in this process.

The paramedical areola tattoos I offer serve a variety of clients. Some have a background of cancer recovery and some are in their journey of transitioning… becoming who they were meant to be all along. For every client who walks through my door, my main focus is to be of service and to create healing and restorative art with my hyperrealistic areola tattoos.
